My Recent Empties

Hello friends! Today, I wanted to show you some products that I’ve recently run out of, and let you know how I liked them. It usually takes me a long time to use up a product; I have a large makeup collection, and I am constantly switching things up. But lately, I have been trying to use up some products so I won’t have to throw them out when they expire!

We have quite a few products to get through, so let’s dive right in! The first thing I want to show you is my Neutrogena Oil Free Acne Wash. This has a fresh grapefruit scent, which I love, and it contains small beads to gently exfoliate your skin. I have used this every night for the past several months, and I have seen a definite improvement in my cystic acne. I will probably repurchase this; it only costs $6 and really makes my skin look and feel great.

Next is my Urban Decay Naked Concealer in the shade Light Neutral. This is the same shade as my face, so I use it to cover my blemishes instead of for brightening. This is a creamy, easily blendable concealer that is full coverage. This makes my skin look flawless! It is a little pricy at $29. If you want a good dupe, try the Wet n Wild Photofocus Concealer; I find it has similar coverage and feel – and it’s only a few dollars.

I have also used up my Lancome Maquicomplet Complete Coverage Concealer in the shade Correcteur. This does not do a good job covering blemishes, but it is an incredible brightening concealer. It also is pricy, at $31. However, I have yet to find a dupe for this.

Now, on to the Eyeko London Fat Brow Liquid Liner. I got this in an Ipsy bag, and it retails for $22. This made doing my brows so easy. I used this a lot while I was doing my senior internship and had to get up really early in the morning. I only allotted myself 5 minutes to do my makuep, and this allowed me to do my brows in less than 20 seconds. You just fill in your brows using the felt tip, and then blend it with a spoolie. It’s a great product; however, I don’t know it I would spend $22 on it. I’m just glad I got it through Ipsy!

Next is the Femme Couture Get Lined Precise Liner, which I also got through Ipsy. Felt tipped liquid liners are my all-time favorite kind of eyeliner. This has such a sharp, precise tip that makes the perfect wing. I loved this so much!

All right, on the the e.l.f. High Definition Powder. As you can see from the picture, this powder is messy! However, it is one of the best finishing powders I’ve ever used. Note: It is an awful setting powder; if you use it to bake, it will pill up into little balls. But as a finishing powder, it gives your skin a beautiful softness, and soaks up any excess product or oil. And it is such a huge container for only $6!

Next is the Tarte tarteist lip paint, which came in a bundle of sample size lippies. This smells of peppermint and chocolate, and is a gorgeous berry color. The thing about these lip paints is that they look a lot lighter than they go on. From the outside, you would assume that it is a pinky nude; however, it is more of a berry color. That being said, it glides on so creamily, and fills in all of my lip wrinkles.

And my last product is the Too Faced Mascara Melt Off, which I didn’t like at all. It didn’t seem to help during my makeup removing routine. Normally I use a cleansing lotion on a cotton pad, and wipe that over my lids. The mascara comes off quite easily that way. If I use the Too Faced cleansing oil first and then use a cotton pad, it doesn’t all come off. I still end up having to use my lotion. It was just adding an extra step to my routine without really doing anything. I wouldn’t recommend this product.

Overall, I really liked most of these products! I hope you enjoyed all of these mini reviews. 🙂 Here is my video review, as well. You can watch it to see swatches of the lip paint, eyeliner, and eyebrow marker!
