Estee Edit Voxbox Review

Hello, lovelies! This week, I was lucky enough to receive an Estee Edit Voxbox in the mail, full of complimentary products for me to review. (Psst: If you want to find out how to get a box of your own, check out Influenster. )  I’ve tried out all the products, and I’m ready to share my thoughts.

Okay, so first up we have the item I was most excited about: the Metallisadow Creme + Powder Eyeshadow in Cyberella, which retails for $25.

Here is the description that came on the box: “Intense depth and the flashiest foil finish. Wear loose metal powder over cream shadow, or alone on face and eyes.”

The shadows are highly pigmented, and look gorgeous together. The cream shadow is a little difficult to apply, as it is pretty tacky and hard to blend. Also, maybe it’s this particular color, but it’s hard to tell it’s metallic unless the shadow is reflecting a ton of light. Below is the shadow with natural light, versus with flash.

I also noticed that a few hours later, the eyeshadow had settled into my crease. I had made sure to use eyeshadow primer before applying the shadow, so I am a but surprised that it still managed to settle.

All together, I think this is a good product, but a little difficult to work with. It is a bit pricey at $25, but you do get two shadows that you can use separately. I’ll give this a 4/5.

The next product is the Inside Track Eye Kajal, which retails for $22. I received it in the shades Baby Blue and Navy.

The item’s description says: “The textured eye. 2 shades, multi effects. Layer onto lids. Line inside waterline and all around lashline.

I was so excited to see I received these colors; I knew they would work wonderfully with my blue eyes. The formula of the pencil is beautifully creamy, and it glides on like magic. It is easily blendable on the lids as well. However, the creaminess of the pencil caused it to smush easily; in fact, both tips of the pencil broke off when I was taking swatches. Thankfully, I had a sharpener in the correct size on hand.

The chunkiness of the pencil tip also makes it a little difficult to get into the waterline neatly; but, it is really easily to clean up any excess product. Here is a look that I put together with both ends of the eyeliner, with the baby blue on top and navy on the bottom. I give this product a 4/5.

The third product I received was Radiance Activator Treat + Prep + Glow, which retails for $55. Its description: “It’s not a dream: now your skin can really get flowing. With mirror-prism illuminators and a dewy moisture boost, this glow activator creates an instant burst of brilliance but it goes way beyond highlighting. With concentrated plant extracts like pink peony and sea lavender, it makes your skin beam with a lit-from-within look you just can’t hide. It feels hydrated, soft and supple. Looks super glowy, with and without makeup. It’s easy: Use it morning and night to boost bare skin’s inner light, then add more anytime for an instant flow. Works alone or layered over moisturizer or makeup.

DSC_0275aI love everything about this serum. I have oily skin that is prone to acne, and it is hard to find face products that don’t make me break out. I usually stay away from anything that claims to be hydrating and illuminating, as those usually wreak havoc on my complexion. However, this did not cause a break out, and it makes my skin look gorgeous! I also really like the smell; I know, not a selling point, but still a nice bonus. You can see how nice my skin looks in the above picture of me, with the Inside Track eyeliner. I’ve been making sure to use the serum over my makeup every day. I give it a 5/5.

The final product I received is the Late Night Eraser Brightening Eye Balm, which retails for $42.

Its decription: “A refreshing eye balm formulated with pink peony, cucumber, apple, hyaluronic acid, and micro-powdered pearls to refresh and instantly brighten around the eyes.”

This is another amazing product; it feels so creamy but isn’t heavy on the skin at all. It immediately brightens the area around your eyes, and makes you look so much more awake. It also has a very fresh scent, similar to the Radiance Activator serum. This product has quickly become part of my daily routine! I give it a 5/5.

That’s everything that was in the Voxbox. I’m so happy I had the opportunity to review these products! Have you tried any of the Estee Edit products yet?
